The toys from the first decade of 2000 were safer and more educational than ever. But kids had their own vision of fun, and it’s these toys that reigned supreme at the top of nearly every Christmas toy list.
Y2K kids wanted toys that sent their imaginations soaring into the unknown, right alongside innocent bystanders caught in the wake of zooming Heelys and Razor Scooters. From the Nintendo Wii, Bratz Girls and 20Q to Zhu Zhu pets, Thomas the Tank Engine, Baby Annabell and the very first iPod, kids everywhere made their list of most-wanted Christmas toys known to any parent and shopping mall Santa who could still hear.
