Since its release in July 1989, the Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles have sold over 118 million units worldwide. This 8-bit gaming system was the first hand-held console to get a firm grip on the mobile gaming market. Original Game Boys have recently experienced a resurgence in popularity with DJs who modify the units to compose custom 8-bit tracks.
