Cabbage Patch Kids

Whose mom didn’t punch another mom at Toys R Us to get a Cabbage Patch Kid during the Holiday shopping frenzy of 1983? The dolls were first produced in 1979 by Xavier Roberts and Debbie Morehead under the title "Little People" and sold at local craft fairs. Later purchased by Coleco Industries, the fad peaked in 1984 when the $2 million dollar mark was reached in annual merchandise sales, including an album that went Gold and Platinum.
