Atari VCS 2600
It wouldn’t be Christmas unless "I want this video game"
rings through the air. And you can thank (or blame) the
Atari 2600. First named the Atari VCS (Video Computer
System) and later coined the Atari 2600, this video game
console was a far cry from upright, quarter-injected arcade
models. Much like today’s Xbox and Nintendo Wii, the Atari
2600 kept gamers glued to their TVs for hours on end Christmas
day, eating a diet rich in Yoo-Hoo soaked Captain Crunch served
in recycled margarine tubs.
